As mentioned in Running Goals-Part 1, there is no doubt that running goals make stronger runners.
I have yet to meet a fast, strong runner who has never set goals.
If you are new to the running game, and have not yet set any goals, here a few to consider:
Start with one goal. Do not overwhelm yourself with more than one. Once you have accomplished your goal move to the next. These are small running goals or habits that will help you reach your bigger running goals, such as:
Running a 10K
Running a Marathon
Running an Ultramarathon
